Michael Atkinson has a diverse work experience in the fields of immigration and casework. Michael began their career in 2005 as an Executive Officer at The Home Office, where they managed cases related to the deportation and detention of foreign nationals. In 2007, they joined Global Visas as an Immigration Sales Consultant, responsible for business development and providing advice on employing migrant workers. In 2010, they moved to Fragomen Worldwide as an Immigration Advisor, where they advised multinational organizations on immigration policies for inbound assignees. Michael later became a Senior Consultant, acting as a single point of contact for assignees across multiple jurisdictions and supporting consultants with case volume and client escalations. Michael then took on the role of Senior Advisor for EMEA Client Services, before becoming the Manager of Client Services in 2015. In this role, they partnered with HR and mobility teams to create and manage immigration programs, ensuring transferees' experiences and client compliance obligations were met. Michael'sresponsibilities also included designing and implementing processes for clients to monitor the progress of individual client matters and engagement performance.

Michael Atkinson has a diverse education history with degrees and studies in various fields. In 2004, they graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in International Business. In the same year, they also studied at Leuphana University of Lüneburg as part of the Erasmus programme, focusing on Betriebswirtschaft und Deutsch. In 2010, they attended London Metropolitan University, where they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management.
