Ricky Barbera

Ricky Barbera, MBA, has a diverse work experience in the legal and data analysis fields. Ricky started their career at Fragomen in 2016 as an Assistant Paralegal I, where they performed substantive work and managed case-related duties. Ricky then progressed to the role of Assistant Paralegal II and gained further experience in drafting correspondence and filing applications. In 2018, Ricky became a Paralegal at Fragomen, where they handled case intake, analyzed documents, and prepared immigration applications. Ricky then transitioned to the position of Business Data Analysis Specialist 2 in 2019, focusing on maintaining the database and conducting systematic searches for incorrect data. Ricky was promoted to Senior Business Data Analysis Specialist in 2021 and finally assumed the role of Lead Business Data Analysis Specialist in 2022. Throughout their career, Ricky has demonstrated skills in data control, administration, coordination, and problem-solving. Prior to Fragomen, Ricky gained legal experience as a Summer Legal Intern at William A. Schafer in 2014, where they assisted with drafting motions and attended court hearings and client meetings.

Ricky Barbera, MBA, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Information Technology Project Management from Florida Institute of Technology. Ricky also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Forensic Psychology from the same institution. Prior to their higher education, Ricky earned an Advanced Regents Diploma from West Islip Senior High School.

In addition to their formal education, Ricky has acquired several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Ricky completed the CONDO CRAZE Condominium and H.O.A Board Member Certification Program & Legal Update in June 2022. Ricky also completed the Fundamentals of Visualization with Tableau program at the University of California, Davis in June 2022. Furthermore, Ricky obtained certifications in Data Analysis and Visualization Foundations from IBM in January 2022, and in Data Visualization and Dashboards with Excel and Cognos from IBM in December 2021.

Ricky's commitment to personal growth and development is evident through their additional certifications. Ricky completed the Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging program offered by LinkedIn in June 2021. Prior to that, Ricky obtained the Six Sigma White Belt Certification from The Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC) in June 2021. Ricky's past achievements also include the PIKE University Gold Certification from the Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity in February 2015.

Furthermore, Ricky Barbera holds the distinction of being a Certificate Member of Psi Chi, The International Honor Society in Psychology, which they achieved in April 2014.
