Tuomo Makkonen

Tuomo Makkonen has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. Their most recent role is as Chief Technology Officer at Fraktal Ltd, where they have been since 2019. Prior to that, they worked at F-Secure Corporation as a Principal Security Consultant and Senior Security Consultant from 2016 to 2019. Tuomo also held positions at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, Ericsson, KPMG Finland, Symbio, Cubical Solutions, Affecto, and Ekahau, in various roles ranging from Security Consultant to Systems Architect and Software Engineer.

Tuomo Makkonen graduated with a MsC in Software Engineering from Tampere University of Technology in 2002. Tuomo later pursued a Master's Degree Programme in Information Technology with a specialization in Cyber Security from JAMK University of Applied Sciences, completing it in 2015. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications in the field of information security, including GCFA - GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst from GIAC in 2015, GCIH - GIAC Certified Incident Handler from GIAC in 2014, and several certifications from ISACA and ISC2 between 2011 and 2013.
