Alex Lacatus

Alex Lacatus, P.Eng. is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Quality in the nuclear sector. Currently serving as the Section Head for I&C Quality for New Build Projects at Framatome since April 2018, Alex also holds responsibilities as the Quality Manager for safety-classified I&C systems and software. Prior to this role, Alex was a Technical Leader at EDF, overseeing the development of the UNICORN I&C platform, ensuring compliance with stringent standards, and conducting critical analyses of project documentation. Alex’s career also includes significant contributions at Ontario Power Generation as Section Head for Plant I&C Systems and Modification Team Leader. Alex earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto between 2002 and 2007.
