Matteo Sala

Matteo Sala is a highly experienced Senior Character & Creature Modeller currently employed at Framestore since August 2023. Previously, Matteo served as a Lead Character Artist at MPC VFX from May 2022 to August 2023 and held the role of Lead Modeler and Senior Creature/Character Artist at Scanline VFX from October 2019 to May 2022. Prior experience includes positions as Lead Character Artist at DNEG and participation in various guest lecturer roles at institutions such as Sapienza Università di Roma and Ravensbourne University London. Matteo's educational background includes a Second BFA in Animation & Visual Effects from the Academy of Art University and multiple degrees in Landscape Architecture from Sapienza Università di Roma. Notable project experience includes work as a Creature Artist on "ALIEN: COVENANT" directed by Ridley Scott.
