Ann S. McDonald has worked in Massachusetts public higher education for over 32 years. Prior to her arrival at Framingham State University in February 2018, Ann served in a variety of leadership roles in student affairs and administration at Mount Wachusett Community College, completing her tenure at MWCC as Executive Vice President and Vice President for Student and Enrollment Services.

During Ann’s higher education career she has worked as both an practitioner and administrator. She has experience in the negotiation of academic articulation agreements, institutional policy development, information technology administration and student affairs administration. Her legal work focuses on policy development and implementation and institutional risk assessment and compliance. Ann has served on numerous accreditation visiting teams and variety of statewide task forces and working teams.

Ann received her undergraduate degree in education from Westfield State College, her Masters degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst and her Juris Doctorate from the New England School of Law.
