Anthony E. Hubbard serves as senior legal counsel, corporate mergers and acquisitions, for CVS Health Corporation at its headquarters in Woonsocket, RI. There, his primary responsibilities include advising CVS Health throughout the process of implementing corporate merger and acquisition transactions. Prior to joining CVS Health, Mr. Hubbard served for 17 years as a corporate and securities partner in the Boston office of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., where he also counseled many of the firm’s nonprofit clients. His other previous experience includes vice president, general counsel, and secretary at Designs, Inc., and associate attorney with Foley, Hoag & Eliot.
Mr. Hubbard is currently a member of the Board of Trustees at Framingham State University, where he chairs its Governance Committee, and a member of the Real Estate and Timberland Investments Committee of the Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board. Previously, he served as a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Boston Municipal Research Bureau. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Community Servings, serving as its secretary, a member of its Executive Committee and chair of its Governance and Nominating Committee. Additionally, he has been involved with the Newton Schools Foundation and the Massachusetts Minority Business Oversight Committee.
Mr. Hubbard graduated from Seattle University magna cum laude with a B.A. in the humanities. He subsequently received an M.B.A. from the Haas Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of California, Berkeley, and a J.D. from the Boalt School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley. He was admitted to practice law in Massachusetts in 1986 and is a member of the Boston Bar Association. Mr. Hubbard lives in Ashland, MA, and has a daughter who resides in Arlington, VA. He enjoys cooking, travel, playoff sports and the National Football League.
