John Dixon

John Dixon has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. John started their career as a Weapons Control System Technician with the United States Department of the Air Force in 1974 and worked there until 1978. John then joined Lee University in 1988 as the Director of Information Systems and remained in this role until 2003. From 2003 to 2007, they served as the Director of Information Technology at Cornell College. In 2007, they were appointed as the Chief Information Officer at Francis Marion University, where they continue to work presently.

John Dixon graduated from Massey Hill High School in 1971. John then attended Lee University from 1979 to 1981, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Religion. Afterward, they pursued a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) degree from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from 1986 to 1988.
