Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund
Charlie Jacobson is an undergraduate student at The Ohio State University, pursuing a degree from 2021 to 2025. Currently serving as an Undergraduate Research Contributor in the Kyriazis lab, research focuses on the expression and function of Sweet Taste Receptors (STRs) and their potential therapeutic applications in muscle health. Jacobson also works as a Teaching Assistant for Organic Chemistry Lab 1, emphasizing organic synthesis, purification techniques, and laboratory safety. Additionally, Jacobson is a Francis Ouimet Scholar, having completed a competitive application process for scholarship support based on experience in the Massachusetts golf industry. Previous experience includes a role as a caddie at Boston Golf Club, where assistance in enhancing the golfing experience was provided while upholding club traditions.

The Golf Charity of Massachusetts: www.ouimet.org A 501 (c)(3) organization, the Ouimet Fund’s purpose is to help deserving young men and women who have worked at golf courses in Massachusetts afford a college education. We provide need-based undergraduate scholarships which are renewable and can be worth up to $80,000 (or more) for four years. The Ouimet Fund is the largest independent scholarship fund in New England and has awarded more than $46 Million to 6,470 Scholars since 1949. Ouimet Scholars show incredible work ethic and commitment, graduating college in 4 years at a 91% rate and maintain a collective 3.4 GPA average!
