Jaared Scott

Deputy Superintendent & COO at Francis Tuttle Technology Center

As Deputy Superintendent / COO, Dr. Jaared Scott provides visionary leadership and districtwide oversight of Francis Tuttle's career training programs, college preparatory STEM academies, workforce and economic development initiatives, daily operations, and master planning. Prior to his employment with Francis Tuttle, he held various roles at the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education (ODCTE), such as senior systems analyst, head of software development, and technology center coordinator. As technology center coordinator he provided leadership and technical support to technology center superintendents and instructional leaders across the state. Before working at the ODCTE, he was a network engineering instructor at Meridian Technology Center in Stillwater where he taught Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification courses and the Cisco Academy.

Jaared holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, a Master of Science degree in Engineering and Technology Management from Oklahoma State University, and a Doctorate of Education degree from Oklahoma State University. While pursuing his bachelor's degree, Jaared served with honor in the Oklahoma Army National Guard, earning the Army National Guard Achievement and National Defense Medals. In 2013, Jaared was appointed by the Oklahoma Senate to serve as an inaugural State Board Member for Oklahoma's Statewide Virtual Charter School, and he was recently named as a mentor for the OKC Thunder Launchpad.
