Jillian Lubarsky

Chief Communications Officer (cco) at Franciscan Friars of the Atonement

Jillian Lubarsky has a strong background in communications and marketing, with experience in various organizations and sectors. Jillian currently serves as the Chief Communications Officer (CCO) for the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement since September 2023. Prior to this, they were the Director of Marketing & Communications for the Food Bank For New York City from November 2021 to September 2023.

From 2015 to 2021, Jillian worked as the Director of Communications for The New York Foundling, where they transformed their communications and public relations strategies and led a team through the organization's 150th Anniversary celebration.

Before that, they were the Senior Manager of Marketing & Communications for the National MS Society, where they developed a comprehensive communications and media plan and achieved significant press coverage.

From 2010 to 2014, they served as the Communications Manager for the American Geriatrics Society, where they shaped the national communications agenda and launched social media platforms.

Earlier in their career, they worked as the Media Relations Coordinator for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, where they wrote press releases and served as a spokesperson. Jillian also served as the Chief of Staff for the Bergen County Board of Freeholders from 2005 to 2006.

Jillian Lubarsky completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History at Union College from 2001 to 2005. Jillian then pursued their Master of Public Administration (MPA) at Baruch College from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended the Ethical Culture Fieldston School from 1989 to 2001, where they completed their high school education.
