Kristian D. Smith

Kristian D. Smith has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. They have held various positions throughout their career. Starting in 1999, Smith worked as a Registered Nurse at Our Lady of the Lake, Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. They served as a charge nurse, coordinating staff and patient assignments. In 2002, they became a Nurse Supervisor, assuming responsibilities for personnel assignments and administrative obligations. Later that year, Smith transitioned to the role of Nurse Manager, overseeing patient care services on a 24-hour basis. In 2005, Smith joined Greater Baton Rouge Surgical Hospital as Chief Nursing Officer, where they provided management of patient care, implemented process improvements, and ensured compliance with safety standards. From 2013 to 2022, Smith worked at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, first as a Clinical Quality Supervisor and then as the Director of Health & Safety. In 2022, Smith joined Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System as the Director of Employee Health. Through their various roles, Smith has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a commitment to quality patient care.

Kristian D. Smith obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern University and A&M College- Baton Rouge from 1992 to 1998. They then pursued a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Nursing Administration at Loyola University New Orleans from 2017 to 2019.
