Christophe Viret is an experienced educator currently serving as a 1st Grade Teacher at the Francophone Charter School of Oakland since August 2021, where responsibilities include leading professional development workshops on behavior management and social-emotional learning. Prior to this role, Christophe taught 2nd Grade at the International College from August 2017 to July 2021, mentoring student teachers from Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth during the years 2019 and 2021. Earlier experience includes a tenure as a 1st Grade Teacher at Rocketship Education from July 2015 to June 2017 as a Teach For America corps member, and serving as a Research & Teaching Assistant at Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy between January 2012 and May 2015. Christophe also co-taught at Unite Lebanon Youth Project in the summer of 2013. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Education Administration and Policy Studies from American University of Beirut and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Chinese from Duke University, complemented by additional studies at Peking University Health Science Center.
