Richard Leertouwer

Richard Leertouwer is a seasoned professional in operations sustainability and renewable energy, currently serving as the Global Operations Sustainability Manager at Franke Group since January 2023. As a founding director of Anvita Engineering, Richard has significantly influenced the organization's Environmental & Sustainability vision while managing client expectations. Previous roles include Director at Leistritz AG, where leadership spanned multi-site projects across diverse cultures, and Head of Procurement at Sunbird Engineering Ltd., focusing on business development during scaling. Richard’s extensive experience also includes consultancy work and a decade at Colfax Corporation, where major projects, including the Three Gorges Dam, were successfully overseen. Richard holds a PhD in Sustainable Energy Technology from the University of Hertfordshire and has completed various advanced studies in energy policy, finance, and business administration.
