Sascha Steffen

Sascha Steffen currently serves as the Director of the Research Institute "Center for European Transformation" and holds the DWS Senior Chair in Finance at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management since August 2017. Additional roles include Vice President of Research and Professor of Finance at the same institution. Since January 2024, Sascha has been the Department Chair of the Finance Department at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). As a co-founder of hyPeak GmbH and a member of the Board of Trustees at the Eugen-Gutmann Gesellschaft, contributions to various research initiatives, including roles as Academic Advisor at Bundesbank Forschungsdaten- und Servicezentrum and Frankfurt Institute for Risk Management and Regulation, underscore Sascha's commitment to advancing economic policy and finance research. In academia, Sascha has served as a Research Fellow at several institutions and was a visiting professor at NYU Stern School of Business. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Finance from Goethe University Frankfurt and a Post-Doc from NYU Stern School of Business.
