Dana Cummings

Dana Cummings is the VP for Development & Alumni Engagement at Franklin College. Prior to their current role, Dana served as the Associate Vice President for Development at DePauw University and the Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations at the Indiana University School of Optometry.

Dana has been working in higher education development and alumni relations for over 10 years. Dana started their career as the Director of Development and Student Programs at the Indiana University Student Foundation. In this role, Dana managed relationships with donors and coordinated student programs.

In 2013, Dana became the Director of Development and Special Gifts at the Indiana University School of Education. In this role, Dana worked with donors to match their philanthropic interests with the needs and priorities of the School.

Dana is a dedicated and experienced professional who is passionate about working in higher education. Dana has a proven track record of success in fundraising and alumni relations.

Dana Cummings has a BA in Anthropology from DePauw University, an MPA in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University Bloomington, and an EdD in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies from Creighton University. Dana is certified by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP-IHQ) as a Certified Fundraising Executive and by CFRE International as a CFRE.

Their manager is Kerry Prather, President. They work with Thandabantu Maceo - VP for Strategic Enrollment & Marketing, Andrew Jones - VP for Student Development & Dean of Students, and Kevin Honigford - VP, Chief Financial Officer.
