Tanya L. McClanahan currently serves as the Director of Inclusion & Analysis at Franklin County Children Services since April 2022. Prior to this role, Tanya held various positions at Columbus City Schools, including Director of the Department of Equity and Supervisor of Higher Education Partnerships from May 2006 to April 2022. Tanya earned a Bachelor of Science in Public/Applied History from Wilmington College and Livingstone College between 1995 and 1999, and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership & Administration from Mid-America Christian University.

Franklin County Children Services is a public agency mandated by federal and state laws to protect children from abuse and neglect. In partnership with more than 100 agencies and organizations, and with the help of over 700 employees, 500 kinship caregivers, 200 adoptive families and 500 volunteers and mentors, and hundreds of community foster parents, the agency is committed to making sure that every child has a safe and stable home.
