Rick Minerd, Jr., MBA has a diverse work experience in the field of law enforcement and education. Rick began their career in 1991 at the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, where they served as the Chief Deputy in the Criminal Investigations Division. In 2014, they joined Ashland University as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor, teaching undergraduate courses in the Adult Online Criminal Justice program. In 2015, they also took on a similar role at Franklin University, teaching undergraduate courses in the Criminal Justice program. Most recently, in 2017, Rick Minerd joined Safe Passage Consulting, LLC as a Business Development Manager, utilizing their law enforcement and military expertise to provide high-quality products and services for client safety and security needs.

Rick Minerd, Jr., MBA completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Franklin University between 2010 and 2012. In 2005, they attended Northwestern University's School of Police Staff & Command (Class 205) where they received Law Enforcement Executive Training.
