David Ansbacher has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. David served as the Director of Lighthouse & Quality Initiatives at FranklinCovey from 2015 to the present. Prior to that, they worked at the International Baccalaureate from 2008 to 2019, serving as an IBEN Site Evaluator. David also worked as an Education Consultant at VIF International Education from 2014 to 2015. From 2011 to 2014, David was the Principal of the High School at the Canadian International School in Singapore. David also worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University from 2010 to 2011. Before that, David held various roles at Wake County Public Schools, including serving as the Senior Director for Magnet Programs from 2008 to 2011. David also served as a Principal and Assistant Principal at East Millbrook Magnet Middle School and an Assistant Principal Intern at A.B. Combs Leadership Magnet Elementary School. David began their teaching career at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School as a High School English & History Teacher. Prior to that, they worked as a High School English & History Teacher at Irvington High School in the Fremont Unified School District. David's earliest teaching experience was as a Teacher at St. Joseph's High School Dobra & St. Paul's College through the WorldTeach Namibia program from 1992 to 1993.
David Ansbacher completed their bachelor's degree magna cum laude in English and Political Science from Kenyon College in 1992. David then pursued a Master of Arts in Teaching in Social Studies from Brown University, which they completed in 1995. Continuing their education, Ansbacher enrolled at North Carolina State University, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in School Administration between 1999 and 2001. David furthered their studies at the same institution and earned an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, which they completed in 2008.
