David Schug

David Schug is a distinguished professional in the field of physics, currently serving as Co-Founder and Co-Director at Hyperion Hybrid Imaging Systems GmbH since August 2019. Concurrently, David has held the position of Gruppenleiter PET Physik at Uniklinik RWTH Aachen since January 2012, where responsibilities include leading the PET Physics group and developing innovative PET detector concepts, data processing methods, and image reconstruction techniques. Additionally, David serves as the radiation protection officer, ensuring safe handling of open substances, and has previously collaborated closely with Philips Research Aachen as a scientific researcher, culminating in a doctoral degree in physics from RWTH Aachen University between 2012 and 2015.
