Brandon Weening

Brandon Weening is an accomplished finance professional currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Corporate & Capital Markets Finance at OMERS, having taken on significant responsibilities since January 2018, including oversight of its back- and middle-office functions and a $55 billion capital markets portfolio. Previously, Brandon held various senior roles within OMERS, overseeing corporate finance, treasury, and investor relations efforts, while also leading initiatives that secured significant funding through term note programs. Additionally, Brandon is an active member of the Pension Plan Working Group at the Accounting Standards Board and serves as a board member for Lime Connect Canada, focusing on connecting professionals with disabilities to employers. With prior experience at Oxford Properties Group, First Capital Realty Inc., and Deloitte & Touche LLP, Brandon possesses a strong background in finance, compliance, and real estate advisory. Brandon is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from Queen's University.
