Brendon Myat

Lead, Health Informatics at Fraser Health Authority

Brendon Myat has extensive work experience in the field of network and system administration, as well as network security. Brendon currently holds the position of Lead, Health Informatics at Fraser Health Authority, starting in December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a System and Network Security Administrator at CORIX Group of Companies from October 2017 to December 2021. Brendon also gained valuable experience as a Network Administrator and Security Professional at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2017, where they completed various industry certifications. Brendon has also served as a Senior Network Engineer at Xilinx from December 2013 to February 2016 and as a Network Consultant at NCS Group from May 2010 to November 2013. At NCS Group, they successfully managed large projects involving the migration of Cisco routers and switches across multiple countries in the Asia Pacific region, while also handling global change management and providing support for network incidents.

Brendon Myat has a diverse education history in the field of technology. In 2001, they obtained a Bachelor of Computer Technology degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Computer Studies, Yangon. In 2008, they furthered their education by earning a Specialist Diploma in Network Security from Singapore Polytechnic. In 2017, they attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology and completed a degree in Network Administrator and Security Professional. Brendon also pursued additional certifications from various institutions, including Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd., Microsoft, Linux Professional Institute, CompTIA, and Cisco.
