As a Senior Manager in Frazier & Deeter’s Tax practice, Julie DeMerchant specializes in ASC 740 review, tax compliance and consulting services. She has over 25 years of experience, including 15 years with a public company in the alternative finance industry and 10 with Ernst & Young.

Julie’s industries of focus include property & casualty and life & captive insurance, banking and consumer lending. She is a member of the firm’s Financial Services and International Tax practices. She is skilled in domestic and international tax matters and in providing support to companies engaging with the IRS. Previously, Julie was instrumental in securing a $100 million federal refund within three months by utilizing a quick carryback claim.
