Cassandra Aarrestad

Cassandra Aarrestad is a Research Technician II and Postbaccalaureate Scholar at Fred Hutch since August 2023. Previously, Cassandra served as Fundraising Chair for the Biomedical Engineering Society from April 2021 to June 2023 and worked as a Nanny at California Respite Care Inc. between January 2021 and June 2023. Cassandra gained experience in research and development as a Sr. R&D Intern in Capillary Electrophoresis at Thermo Fisher Scientific from January 2023 to March 2023 and as an R&D Intern in the same area from June 2022 to September 2022. Additional involvement includes leadership roles with Cal Poly Dance Marathon from October 2019 to May 2022, including Hospital Relations, Finance Director, and Community Relations Chair. Cassandra holds both a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, completed in June 2023, and graduated from Issaquah High School in 2019.
