Elaine Chan

Elaine Chan is an experienced professional in financial counseling and patient services, currently serving as the Financial Counseling Supervisor at Fred Hutch since July 2019. Previously, Elaine held the role of Interim Supervisor for Patient Accounts Representatives at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and has extensive experience as a Lead Patient Financial Services Coordinator and Patient Financial Counselor at the same organization. Elaine's expertise includes insurance coverage and prior authorization, as well as billing and payment collection. Earlier career roles included scheduling coordination and administrative support in orthodontic settings, demonstrating strong organizational skills and a focus on customer satisfaction. Elaine holds an Associate’s Degree in Dental Assisting from Lake Washington Tech College and completed additional training at Rockwell Institute in 2015.
