Sandy Powell

Sandy Powell has extensive experience in compliance and sustainability within the maritime industry, currently serving as Head of Compliance and Sustainability at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines since February 2006. In this role, Sandy leads initiatives, collaborates with stakeholders, and fosters a positive approach to compliance and sustainability efforts. Previously, as HSSEQ Manager, responsibilities included planning, developing, and maintaining management systems aligned with international regulations and standards, as well as overseeing audits for compliance. Sandy successfully transitioned the company to ISO 9001:2015 and also held the position of HSSEQ Coordinator at Christian Salvesen from March 2004 to October 2005, where Sandy served as Quality Manager. Education includes a high school diploma from Humberstone Comprehensive, completed in 1986.
