Chip Jewell

Chip Jewell has extensive work experience in the field of emergency services and insurance. Chip started their career in 1979 at Frederick Underwriters, where they worked in the insurance sector until 1999. In 2006, they joined the Frederick County Maryland Government as the Director of Frederick Country Emergency Communications. In 2009, they became a member and past president of the Frederick County Fire & Rescue Museum. Since 2014, Chip has been serving as the Director/Chief of the Division of Volunteer Fire & Rescue Services.

Chip Jewell completed their Associate's degree in General Studies with a focus on Fire Service Management at Frederick Community College. The specific starting and ending years for this degree are not provided.

Following this, Chip went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Fire Science/Fire-fighting from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Chip completed this degree from 2010 to 2013.
