Principal Technical Artist at Free Range Games

Dan Norris has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Dan is currently employed as the Principal Technical Artist at Free Range Games since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at Manipulation Digital LLC from March 2021 to January 2022. From 2017 to 2021, they held the position of Robot Control Systems Engineer at AndyRobot, where they designed and authored interactive control systems for industrial robots using C++ and Python. Dan also worked as a Senior Technical Artist at Crystal Dynamics from May 2018 to April 2021. Dan has experience as a Freelance Rigger, Maya API Developer, and CreatureFX Artist from August 2016 to May 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Technical Animator at MPC from July 2017 to March 2018. Dan's earliest role was as a Video Engineer at Bellagio Production Services from March 2013 to February 2015, where they were responsible for various video-related tasks and managing a crew of up to 23 technicians/stagehands.

From 2009 to 2010, Dan Norris attended the New York Film Academy, where they studied Film/Cinema/Video Studies.
