Katie DeBoer Krysan is an Associate in the Litigation Practice Group and a member of the Complex Litigation Team. She has experience drafting substantive motions and pleadings, developing case strategy, engaging in large scale discovery, taking depositions, and preparing for trial. Katie brings energy to case teams and is a zealous advocate for her clients.
Before joining the firm, Katie was an Associate at Winston & Strawn LLP, where she represented clients in complex civil litigation and white collar matters, including trade secrets and civil racketeering actions. Katie also served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable John. E. Jones III in the Middle District of Pennsylvania. During her two-year clerkship, Katie drafted legal opinions, assisted in trial and hearing preparation, and managed Judge Jones’ first multi-district litigation for hundreds of nation-wide products liability claims.
Katie graduated second in her class from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she was a member of the Chicago-Kent Law Review and the Moot Court Honor Society. In law school, she received awards for her appellate and trial advocacy and her legal writing.
