David R. Barrett

David R. Barrett, CPA, is a Director in Freed Maxick’s Tax Practice and has been associated with the Firm for the past 38 years. Dave provides clients with specialized tax research, planning and representation services.

Dave has also served as an instructor for the Financial Planning Counselors of Western New York, the University at Buffalo Graduate Tax Certificate Program, the Foundation for Accounting Education, the Becker CPA Review Course, and the New York State Bar Association. He has served on the steering committee for the AICPA/University of Illinois National Tax Education Program and as a Director for the Western New York Planned Giving Consortium.

Dave is frequently quoted in local publications, has made numerous appearances on radio and television programs, and has been named in Money Magazine’s listing of the best tax practitioners in the country.
