Vicki Norman has a diverse and extensive work experience in the marine industry. Vicki started their career as the Publisher of Powerboat Magazine in 1994 and later took over its operations as the Publisher. Under their leadership, the magazine saw significant performance improvements in revenue and was eventually acquired by Affinity Group.
In 2005, Vicki became the Publisher of Watercraft World Magazine, where they managed all aspects of the publication and organized the annual Dream Demo test program. Vicki also participated in the Long Beach to Cat (and back) PWC race every year.
Vicki then joined Performance Boats Magazine as an Associate Publisher in 2008 before moving on to Source Interlink as the Publisher of Sportboat and West Coast sales for Power & Motoryacht. At Source Interlink, they managed various publications and developed integrated sales presentations.
In 2011, Vicki became the Group Associate Publisher of the International Automotive and Marine Group at Source Interlink. Vicki was responsible for managing daily operations and executing marketing campaigns and strategies.
In 2013, Vicki launched the marine division of Digital Throttle and served as the President of the Marine & Motorsports Group. Vicki successfully added over 85 marine websites to their online ad network, allowing targeted advertising across the industry.
In 2018, Vicki founded devOcean LLC, a company focused on promoting reusable and sustainable products as alternatives to single-use plastic. Vicki aimed to address the global plastic waste epidemic through education and eco-friendly product offerings.
Additionally, Vicki joined Freedom Boat Club in 2018 and took on multiple roles, including Marketing Council Member and USCG Captain and new-member trainer. Vicki actively contributed to the franchise's expansion and growth while sharing their love and passion for boating with new members.
Throughout their career, Vicki Norman has consistently demonstrated their expertise and dedication to the marine industry, taking on leadership roles and driving positive results in various organizations.
Vicki Norman has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, with a minor in Journalism, from San Diego State University. Vicki attended the university from 1991 to 1994. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Thousand Oaks High School from 1984 to 1988, without earning any specific degree or field of study. In terms of additional certifications, Vicki Norman obtained a Divemaster & Rescue Diver certification from PADI in August 2009. Vicki also holds a USCG Six Pack license from the U.S. Coast Guard, although the specific month and year of its acquisition are unknown.
