Nick Allen

Nick Allen has extensive work experience in the technology sector. Nick currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Freedom Finance Ltd, where they have led the transformation of the company into a digital technology powerhouse. Prior to this, they worked as a consultant in digital strategy for Universities Superannuation Scheme (Ltd) and as the Chief Technology Officer for Jzen (Consultancy). Nick has also held consultancy roles in digital enterprise architecture for Tata Consultancy Services and as the Interim Chief Technology Officer for SwitchMyBusiness.com. Nick has experience in the transportation industry as well, having served as the Head of Digital Technology and Chief Architect for Stagecoach Group plc. Additionally, they have founded and held leadership positions in various start-up companies focused on web services and internet security solutions.

Nick Allen graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1997 with a 1st Class Honours degree in Mathematics. In addition to their bachelor's degree, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include the Blockchain Developer Nanodegree from Udacity in April 2022, the Artificial Intelligence Nanodegree from Udacity in January 2018, the TOGAF 8 Certified Enterprise Architect from The Open Group in July 2009, the Java Enterprise Architect from Sun Microsystems in July 2003, the Solaris 8 System Administrator from Sun Microsystems in April 2002, and the Java 2 Programmer from Sun Microsystems in August 2000.
