Patrick Murphy has a work experience that spans over two companies. Patrick started their career at SmartDisk Corporation in 1994 as a Hardware Design Engineer. Patrick played a crucial role in the company's startup and successfully licensed technology to multiple Japanese consumer electronics companies. Patrick completed design efforts, technical documentation, and validation plans on schedule. In 2003, they joined Freedom Scientific as an Engineering Manager. Patrick later became the Director of Engineering in 2010, a role they still hold.
Patrick Murphy completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of South Florida between 1991 and 1995. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications, including "IoT Foundations: Low-Power Wireless Networking" and "Managing Technical Professionals" from LinkedIn in February 2019, as well as the "Project Management Professional (PMP)" certification from the Project Management Institute in January 2019.
