Beata Dragovics

Founder at Freedom Trail Financial

Growing up in a small town near Budapest, Hungary, and living through two regimes behind the iron curtain gave Beata a unique perspective on freedom. “I lived in a world where the lack of freedom to practice your religion, spend your hard-earned money, or even speak your mind without fear was considered ‘normal,’” she says. These experiences inspire her today to help her clients realize that their freedom should fully align with their values. “I want to help give clients the freedom to shape their own lives while strategically planning for their future, so they feel confident with their financial health.”

Beata’s mother set an entrepreneurial example for her by opening her own CPA firm and encouraging Beata to study English and travel. Beata earned her bachelor's degree in business management from the Budapest Business School and moved to Boston.

She’s a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and earned her master’s degree in financial planning from the College for Financial Planning. After working at a major brokerage firm in Boston for more than 10 years, she established Freedom Trail Financial.

Community has always been an important part of Beata’s life. She values the way family and lifelong friends look after each other, and she brings this same perspective to her clients. “I strive to offer my clients not just my financial knowledge and experience, but also my caring and empathy to help them address their unique situation,” she says.

She holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations. Her professional associations include the CFP Board of Standards, the Financial Planning Association (Pro-Bono Committee), the Boston Estate Planning Council, and the Boston Club. Beata also serves as a financial coach for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Patient Program and JVS, Boston. She serves on the board of Seeding Labs, a nonprofit with a mission to fight global diseases by empowering scientists in developing countries.

Beata has been featured in Boston magazine as a recipient of the 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2016 Five StarSM Wealth Manager Award.*

She lives with her husband and English bulldog in Norwell, Massachusetts. They love spending time on the North River, traveling, hiking the White Mountains, attending and supporting local theaters, and skiing. She is also an avid yoga fan and enjoys taking on new adventures such as playing the piano or trying out golf.
