Nadia Zakir

Nadia Zakir currently serves as a Board Member at FreeFrom and the PIMCO Foundation, and has been with PIMCO since June 2013 as Managing Director, Global Head of Compliance, and Chief Compliance Officer. Nadia has held various senior roles at PIMCO, including Executive Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. Previously, Nadia chaired the Market Risk Advisory Committee at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission from May 2019 to June 2022 and served as Associate Director and Special Counsel at the Commission from April 2010 to June 2013. Earlier experience includes an associate position at Van Ness Feldman and a law clerk role at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Nadia holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from American University Washington College of Law, a Master of Arts (MA) from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of San Diego.
