Caryn Burstein

Caryn Burstein is an experienced educator currently serving as a Social Studies Teacher at Freehold Regional High School District, where responsibilities include teaching AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, World History, and Financial Literacy to over 100 diverse students. Prior to this role, Caryn taught at Westfield Public Schools and served as an Adjunct Professor at Union County College, focusing on United States history. Previous teaching experience also includes a position at Kent Place School and roles as a substitute teacher and student teacher. Caryn holds a Master’s degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from Rutgers Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor’s degree in History, Spanish, and Political Science from Rutgers University. Additionally, Caryn has gained practical experience through various internships, including efforts to educate and mobilize college-age voters.
