Rachana Shah

Rachana Shah has a diverse work experience spanning over various roles and companies. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Research Scientist at Avecia, where they were involved in downstream purification of proteins and antibodies. Rachana then joined Nisai Group in 2009 as an MBA Placement, working on the design and implementation of the student management system. In 2010, they joined Phico Therapeutics Ltd. and served as a Product Process Manager and later as a Manufacturing Manager, leading the manufacturing team and overseeing the scale-up of fermentation and analytical testing processes. From 2017 to 2018, they worked at Tusk Therapeutics as a CMC Manager, managing external CMC manufacturing and leading technology transfers. Lastly, they joined Freeline in 2018 and held several roles including Senior CMC Project Manager and Associate Director CMC, overseeing technology transfers, supply chain management, and manufacturing support.

Rachana Shah completed their education history with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Mumbai University Mumbai between 2002 and 2005. Later, they pursued a Master of Science in Industrial Biotechnology from Liverpool John Moores University from 2005 to 2006. Lastly, they obtained a Master of Business Administration in Business Administration from Liverpool John Moores University between 2008 and 2009.
