Rose Sheridan has extensive experience in translational research and project management, with a focus on small molecules, natural products, and biologics across various therapeutic areas. Rose has held roles as Head of Research at Freeline since August 2021 and Director of Translational Research at Freeline since January 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a Translational Research Project Manager at University College London from June 2009 to December 2015. Before that, they held the same position at Modern Biosciences plc from January 2007 to March 2009. Rose also served as the Director of Microbiology at Biotica from February 2000 to January 2007, leading the mTOR inhibitor program and collaborating with GSK on macrolides development. Their earlier experience includes being an Investigator at SKB (now GSK) from September 1996 to November 1999, where they focused on fermentation and natural products science, applying statistical design techniques and characterizing microbial systems for industrial production.
Rose Sheridan earned a BSc Hons in Microbiology from the University of Aberdeen from 1983 to 1987. Rose then pursued a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Hull, from 1987 to 1990.
