Jeff Hegarty is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in IVD development, currently serving as Senior Scientist 2 at Freenome since November 2021. Prior to this role, Hegarty held various positions at Illumina from March 2015 to November 2021, where contributions included leading verification studies for multiple diagnostic products, overseeing bioinformatics teams, and facilitating regulatory submissions. Hegarty's earlier career included significant roles at Samsung Electronics in product development and assay development, alongside research experience at UC San Diego. Hegarty holds a Master of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from UC San Diego.
