Marian Navratil

Marian Navratil has extensive work experience in the field of research and development, with a focus on diagnostics. They currently hold the position of VP, Development at Freenome since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at HTG Molecular Diagnostics as SVP, Research and Development from 2021 to 2022, and as VP, Research and Development from 2019 to 2021. At HTG Molecular Diagnostics, they were responsible for overseeing the R&D organization and the development of various diagnostic assays. Marian also served as the VP, Companion Diagnostics at HTG Molecular Diagnostics in 2018.

Before their time at HTG Molecular Diagnostics, Marian worked at Danaher Corporation where they held roles such as Director/Senior Director, Assay Development from 2016 to 2018, and Senior Manager, Research & Development from 2013 to 2016. At Danaher Corporation, they led global teams and provided strategic direction for the development and launch of multiple IVD products.

Earlier in their career, Marian worked at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics as Manager, Customer Product Line Support from 2010 to 2013, and as Senior Development Scientist from 2008 to 2010. They also worked as a Research Associate at the University of Minnesota from 2004 to 2008, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Linköping University from 2002 to 2004. Their career began as a Research Scientist at Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave, where they worked from 1998 to 2002.

Marian Navratil completed a CORe (Credential of Readiness) in Business Administration and Management at Harvard Business School Online in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a PhD in Biotechnology from Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave from 1998 to 2001. Marian's educational journey began with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biochemistry from the same university, which they earned from 1993 to 1998.
