Jiefen Shen

Jiefen Shen is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in managing electrical capital projects. Currently serving as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Freeport-McMoRan since January 2022, Jiefen oversees the full project lifecycle from proposal to implementation. Previous roles include Project Engineer at Task Engineering Ltd. focusing on electrical and control projects for Suncor, and Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer at Spartan Controls, where design and technical direction were key responsibilities. Jiefen has also held positions at notable companies such as Evraz Inc NA, National Oilwell Varco, and China Guodian Power Corp., contributing to various projects in energy efficiency, design, and operational reliability. Jiefen earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Automation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
