Michael Chandler

Michael Chandler is an experienced electrical engineering professional with a comprehensive background in managing corporate projects and electrical systems. Currently serving as the Manager Electrical for the Corporate Projects group at Freeport-McMoRan since October 2018, Michael oversees the safety and design aspects of various project types, including greenfield and brownfield developments. Previous roles include Chief Electrical Engineer at Barrick Gold Corporation, General Superintendent of Electrical and Instrumentation at Minera Panama, and Project Manager and Senior Electrical Engineer at Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. Michael's earlier experience includes project management and estimation at Tatsch Construction, as well as serving as an Electrical Engineer at The Dow Chemical Company. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Power Systems and Economics from New Mexico State University.
