William Barron

William Barron is a Structural Geologist at Freeport-McMoRan since July 2014, specializing in subsurface structural modeling, LiDAR scanning, and geotechnical reviews. Previous roles include Slopes Geologist, where oversight of slope monitoring and reporting was key, and Pit Geologist, focused on ore control and geological mapping. Earlier experience consists of a Marine Geology Lab Assistant at McGill University and a Geology Intern at Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. William holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from McGill University and has additional experience in construction and painting.
