Clarence Parks

Clarence Parks is an experienced medical professional currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer, President of the Medical Staff, and Chair of the Department of Hospital Medicine at FHN since September 2001. In addition, Clarence holds the position of Medical Director/Chief Medical Innovative Officer in the Section of Hospital Medicine and has been a Staff Physician and Medical Director of Hospice and New Visions Inpatient Chemical Treatment Program. Since January 2022, Clarence has been an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. Further roles include Physician at Aunt Martha's Health & Wellness and Clinical Consultant/Medical Director at Southshore Wellness Center. Between 2009 and 2017, Clarence was a Clinical Instructor and Physician at Rush University Medical Center. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Bio molecular Chemistry from Knox College, a Doctor of Medicine from Rush Medical College, and specialization in Internal Medicine-Pediatrics from Wayne State University School of Medicine.
