Nikki Wheeler

Nikki Wheeler has a rich background in education, currently serving as the High School MTSS Facilitator at Freeport School District 145 since August 2022. Prior to this role, Nikki held various positions within FSD 145 from August 2001 to August 2022, including High School English Teacher, 8th Grade ELA Teacher, Best Practice Coach/ELA Teacher, and Middle School Teacher for grades 6-8. Nikki has focused on researching and developing best practice strategies to enhance teaching effectiveness. Academically, Nikki earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Teacher Leadership from Concordia University Chicago, a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University, and an Associate of Science in Education from Highland Community College. Nikki graduated from Freeport High School in 1996.
