Michael McBee has a diverse work experience in the field of civil engineering with a focus on water resources. Michael started their career at Freese and Nichols in 2015, where they served as a Water/Wastewater Engineer and Project Manager. In this role, they were involved in the design of large diameter water transmission pipelines, potable water pump stations, and ground storage tanks. Michael also gained experience as a Resident Representative for the construction of a pump station and ground storage tanks.

In 2018, Michael took on leadership roles at NCT Chapter AWWA, serving as the Scholarship Chair and later as the Young Professionals Chair until 2022. Michael then joined Texas AWWA as the Young Professional Chair in the same year.
