Tamar Henderson, CMP, CMM has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of event planning and management. Tamar currently serves as the Corporate Meeting Manager at Freese and Nichols, a role they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, they were a Senior Corporate Events Planner at the same company from January 2018 to April 2022, and before that, they worked as a Corporate Events Planner from November 2014 to January 2018.

Before joining Freese and Nichols, Tamar worked at Williams/Gerard Productions as a Senior Meeting Planner and Production Specialist from June 2011 to October 2013. In this role, they focused on communications, meeting planning, logistics, and event production, helping clients effectively communicate their messages and goals.

From May 2009 to April 2011, Tamar was an Executive Meeting Planner at ExecuVents, where they provided event and meeting services to clients in various industries, including dental, medical, technology, and member associations. Tamar successfully managed and executed events for clients such as DenMat Holdings, LLC, Startech Foundation, SATAI, and the Institute for Economic Development at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Prior to that, Tamar worked as a Senior Account Executive at The RK Group, LLC from February 2007 to April 2009, focusing on catering sales for major accounts at the San Antonio Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Tamar facilitated communication between meeting planners, convention center staff, and convention vendors.

Tamar's earlier work experience includes serving as the Private Event Director and Member Relations Director at Plaza Club San Antonio from March 2005 to February 2007, where they handled event coordination, sales, and planning for private events. Tamar also worked at Contra Costa JCC as the Membership, Marketing, and Public Relations Director from October 1997 to April 2000.

Tamar Henderson, CMP, CMM, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Mills College, which they obtained from 1990 to 1994. Prior to their college education, they earned a diploma from Oak Ridge Military Academy, where they attended from 1988 to 1990. Additionally, Tamar holds the Certified Meeting Manager (CMM) certification from Meeting Professionals International, which they obtained in April 2017. Tamar also obtained the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification from the Convention Industry Council in June 2008.
