James Hughes has extensive experience in the financial industry, with a focus on wealth management and market executive roles. James is currently the Head of Advisory & Business Development at Freestone Capital Management, a wealth advisory firm. Prior to this, James was a Founding Member, COO & CCO at Transcend Wealth Collective. James also held various positions at Merrill Lynch, including Managing Director, Market Executive and Wealth Management Advisor. Overall, James has over 25 years of experience in the financial sector.

James Hughes attended Kimball Union Academy in 1988 before enrolling at Trinity College-Hartford, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from 1988 to 1992.
