Birgitta Gerlach

Birgitta Gerlach is an Assistant Editor at Freethink since September 2022, responsible for managing videos through the post-production pipeline and editing shorts for social media. Previously, Birgitta interned at Golden Girls Filmproduktion und Filmservices GmbH, where script translation and social media video creation were key responsibilities. Birgitta also served as a US Teaching Assistant at Fulbright Austria, teaching English classes at an Austrian multimedia high school. Additional experience includes roles as a Set Production Assistant, Quality Assurance Assistant at Icicle Seafoods, Off-Campus Studies Video Intern, and Special Projects Video Intern at Blue Mountain Land Trust. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Studies and German Studies from Whitman College and a short-term program at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
