Calvin Tang

Calvin Tang serves as a Police Lieutenant at the Fremont Police Department, where responsibilities include supervising area patrol officers and managing responses to critical incidents. With tenure beginning in January 2010, Calvin has held various roles, including Police Sergeant, Hostage Negotiator, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Detective, Financial Crimes Detective, School Resource Officer, and Patrol Officer. Notably, Calvin is certified in hostage negotiations and crisis intervention, particularly in domestic violence situations. Prior to working at the Fremont Police Department, Calvin was a Deputy Probation Officer for Alameda County, focused on monitoring juvenile probationers. Calvin holds a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northwestern University.
